Gummy Johnston is one of Australia’s most highly regarded tattoo artists. The owner of legendary Thanks Tattoo in Sydney, Gummy channelled his own personal experiences with suicide into the artwork for the debut In Pieces activation in Sydney. He also continues to serve on the board of In Pieces.

In Pieces is a fundraising initiative that aims to destigmatise how suicide is portrayed in society and change the narrative around how suicide is discussed in public life. Our core endeavours are to raise funds to be used in suicide support, and to build a community that is safe, supportive, and ultimately connected.
